SP Japanese Cultural Club

First thing is that I lost my thumbdrive in the Main Library. 4AR11-17. That is the floor/area/comp designation of the computer I was using. If you find it, please notify me or drop a tag. It is an imation thumbdrive, 512mb, without its swivel/lock cover.

Second is that I want to apologise to all of you for losing that thumbdrive, as it contains your (as well as the club's) details. I want you to know that I am doing my best to get that back. Please pardon me on this.

Lastly, on a happier note, we have just completed our sub-committee interviews and I am glad to say that a total of 17 people attended. To those who came, thanks for showing your committment to the club. Results will be out shortly.

Dear members,

The formation of Sub-Committee for SP Japanese Cultural Club will be held on the 27th of July 2007, a Friday.

Venue : T22611
Time : 5pm

The reason for the interview is to assess the different qualities of our aspiring young club members. And thus, through the interview, you can be part of SPJCC's new sub-committee.
More importantly, since most of the main commitee members are year 3 students, we would like to find capable leaders for the club to ensure its future growth.

Your attendance to our interview would affirm your commitment and interest in the Japanese Cultural Club.

Being in the sub-commitee would definitely allow you to develop the leadership qualities in youself and which is something that you cannot gain solely by your academic studies.

Should you have any queries, please contact Serene, our Secretary.


Also, our club has reserved tickets for the Summer Festival, and so, if you should require more tickets, please post it up in the forum thread BEFORE the 22nd of July 2007. Thanks.

Great job to those who ran the Poly 50, tough route, but you all did excellent. Special mention to sprinter Edward Senior, and Xue Qi. Thanks also to the rest of the runners, Ding Zhong (Team lead 2), Jia Jin (Team Lead 3), Pearly, Mohsin, Kok, Sharon and Wei Long

Many thanks too to the support team, consisting of Rui En, Serene, Ming Xuan, Chris, Liyun, Alaric, Hui Ning, Rui Ying, Joyce and Wei Ling. Hope I didn't miss out anyone.

We clocked in at 1h 40min or so. Great Job!!

Next thing is Summer Festival, which will be held on the 25th of August, 2007, at the Japanese Primary School, Changi Campus.

Tickets are priced at $10 each, which includes the entry fee, a food coupon worth $4, and $6 of coupons for the various stalls. Please go to the forum to indicate number of tickets wanted. As well as your name and admin number. HERE!!!

This Japanese speech competition pits non native speakers of Japanese in a competition. We are just going as spectators, to listen to them speak.

The SP Open house will be held from Thursday 5th July through Saturday 7th July, so if you are free in the afternoons during Thursday and Friday, or are coming down to school on Saturday, please drop by and chat with our booth helpers.
