
We have been invited by our sister club the Food Connoisseurs Club to join them to visit a local mushroom farm.
Mycofarm is Singapore’s largest commercial mushroom growing facility and the only farm cultivating exotic mushroom that grown in temperate countries. The guided tour to our Pesticide-free farm usually lasted for about an hour or more. It is suitable for multi racial groups of different age and we are well capable of catering to the special needs of the organizers. The tour consists of viewing air-conditioned growing houses of 2 different mushrooms that only grow in cold climate, an interesting cooking demonstration followed by a food tasting session of the various delicious mushrooms. Throughout the whole tour, our guide will be introducing you to some interesting facts and lesser known secrets about the different types of mushrooms, their medical properties and things to look out for when storing or cooking them.Throughout the whole tour, our guide will be introducing you to some interesting facts and lesser known secrets about the different types of mushrooms, their medical properties and things to look out for when storing or cooking them. It will end at our retail shop where you can get freshly plucked mushrooms and some specially imported mushroom at incredible discounted prices. They can also choose from a wide variety of interesting mushroom products such as Floss, Lotus Rice, Soups, Books, Composts...etc. The opening hours for visitors are 9.30 a.m.– 5.00 p.m. everyday (includes Sunday & All Public Holidays) .

'Seiransai' is the annual school festival by Waseda Shibuya Senior High, which is a Japanese high school located in Singapore. There'll be various activities and games organised by respective classes.
Admission is free (and so are most of the activities there), but do bring your own money for your meals and such.
NOTE: This is NOT a cosplay event or a matsuri, so please dress casual :) Also, please do not upload any pictures or videos of Seiransai on the internet. This is to protect the privacy of Waseda Shibuya students.

Those who still want to attend the event are free to do so, but you will have to come early and queue for a day ticket.
For those going, please wear either YUKATAS or CASUAL. NO FORM OF COSPLAYING IS ALLOWED. NO PROPS, LOLITA, WA-LOLI etc either.
Those who need help wearing one can go to the event and ask the yukata rentals people for help (do tell them that you have your own). They will be more than happy to help you. Bring your own koshihimo "strings".
For those intending to rent the yukata, wear/bring along slippers, beach sandals, geta or zori, wear low collared shirts and shorts. DO NOT WEAR LONG PANTS OR JEANS. Please bring your own koshihimo "strings" (or a substitute like long shoelaces/long narrow fabric pieces for securing your yukata)

Each host family will host 2 Japanese students. For each student hosted, the respective host family will be given S$60 per student per night to offset any expenses that may be incurred by the host during the stay.
